Totally worth purchasing!, (What's this?) I looove this sauce pan and this brand. It is of excellant quality and looks fabulous sitting out on stove! With it being cast iron it is of course on the heavier side but I don't mind at all. If you are concerned with weight, you may need to reconsider if cast iron is for you.

  • Ergonomic handle and opposite helper handle for steady transport

    All-Clad Stainless 1-Quart Saucier Pan

One "tip" for this pan, (What's this?) As with all All-Clad, this pan is a great product. It is small and easy to use for soups and other small amounts.
Great product - lousy "free" shipping service, I love all-clad products. This is a great pan. But Amazon's free shipping policy needs review. This item sat in a UPS warehouse 100 miles from my home for about 2 weeks and then it arrived after 3 weeks of the order. I could have walked the 100 miles and back and had the pan before it was shipped. Very poor service, hopefully this will be reviewed and changed.
All Clad stainless 1-quart, (What's this?) Its a perfect pot to heat a can of soup in, wide and shallow allows for quick heating. I have to say I was a bit dissappinted after washing it, because it seems to have lost it shine to it.
Sauce Making, (What's this?) I've used AllClad pots and pans for more than thirty years. The originals I bought all those years ago are, if anything, handsomer than they were when new, because of all the polishing they've had. They function just as they always have, too. I've had to replace some of them because a couple of years ago, I began cooking by induction, and my nice old faithfuls have aluminum exteriors and won't conduct. This little saucier is the junior of a larger one I own, and is perfectly suited to making classic sauces, as well as the morning oatmeal, if you start your day that way. I'm sure there's nothing I can say about AllClad you don't already know. We all know there are cheaper pots, but there are cheaper everything elses, too, which is no reason not to go first class if you can.
I love it!, (What's this?) I make a lot of sauces. The rounded sides make it easy to stir the sauce and the cladded sides provide even heat distribution - don't know how I got along without it. Also great for small quantities of vegetables.
tippy pan, I like the size of this pan but the rounded bottom makes it tippy on my gas range. I prefer the square bottomed sauce pans.
All-Clad Stainless, All-Clad is known for it's high quality, good looking, long lasting product. It never fails.
Finally a lid that fits!!!, If you want a lid to fit the 1 quart STAINLESS saucier this is it. I received it today and it is perfect. I use this pot to boil 4-5 eggs and need a lid for final step.
a great little pot, I bought just one small All Clad pot to see if I'd like it since they're a pretty big investment. I had a hard time believeing that food wouldn't stick to the surface since it isn't nonstick. I absolutely love the pot and it's soooo easy to clean up, almost easier than my nonstick utensils, I haven't used it for frying or anything though. It just feels really good to have one really great pot and I'm going to buy more when I can. I love the pot and would highly recommend it.
Ah, All-Clad..., I bought this to be a quick-heat single-serving pot because my Le Creuset just takes too long to boil a can of soup. As a result of using it over "medium" heat, the bottom is beginning to discolor, but I am still very happy with this purchase. I do appreciate that it's made in the USA, but the reason to buy All-Clad is that it's just a little bit better than the other pans you could buy. My friends with the copper core All-Clad pans get better performance, but you can't go wrong with aluminum core for a much more reasonable price.

  • Dishwasher safe, but hand washing recommended
  • Versatile 1-quart pan with rounded sides
  • Three-ply: stainless-steel layers sandwich pure aluminum core for even heating
  • Long, comfortable, stay-cool handle riveted for strength
  • Lifetime warranty against defects

  • Dishwasher safe, but hand washing recommended.Versatile 1-quart pan with rounded sides.Three-ply: stainless-steel layers sandwich pure aluminum core for even heating.Long, comfortable, stay-cool handle riveted for strength.Lifetime warranty against defects. The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between layers of stainless steel is a thick core of pure aluminum that spreads heat evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. The interior is 18/10 highly polished stainless steel, so it's stick-resistant as well as stain- and corrosion-resistant. The exterior is gleaming, magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as conventional stovetops, and, with care, remains beautiful during this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and beyond.

American Kitchen 3-Quart Stainless-Steel Saucepan with Lid

American Kitchen 3-quart Saucepan, (What's this?) I bought this because it's made in the USA and, as the other reviewer said, it's a fraction of the price of All Clad. I've only used it a few times so far but it seems to be very good quality (& it's very attractive).
I love it!, (What's this?) This pan was a great find. I'm slowing working on owning a whole set of this cookware. I would recommend this brand to anyone, nicely priced and a great value, made in the USA by our fellow country men and women.
I'm impressed., (What's this?) I'm excited. I just unpacked a new three quart sauce pan from American Kitchen. It's sleek and well made! When I was growing up my mom always used Revere Ware. When I set up my own home I bought the same thing; stainless and copper made in the US. It lasted well over thirty years, but things wear out. When I was in the mood to replace several pieces I couldn't find anything made in the U.S. Revere has been offshored by Corning Glass and seemed cheap! I finally found All Clad and bought two frying pans, but they are pricy--although worth it. However, right now I can't afford almost two-hundred dollars for a saucepan, and was delighted when I found American Kitchen (by Regal Ware) made in Kewaskum Wisconsin--USA!--for a fraction of the price of All Clad.
I haven't used it a lot, but am very happy so far. It also seems to save energy as the company recommends never turning the stove above medium heat because it heats faster than regular cookware. Made in the US--that sold me!

I wish they made fry pans that did not have a non-stick coating.

A note. I have used Bar Keepers Friend cleanser on my stainless for years because it doesn't scratch. It seems to work fine on American Kitchen restoring the luster. I wouldn't use a regular household cleanser.

    UPDATE 2/22/2011

The more I use this pan the more I'm impressed. It really does cook on medium heat. Easy to clean.
I like it, It's a good pot: heavy enough, heats evenly, and made in the U.S.A., which is a nice plus. One mark against it is the lid has a seal between the steel and glass components that allows water to get in. I happened to discover this when some water dripped from this space into some hot oil. It was a bit of a nuisance. On the whole I liked it enough to later pick up the 12" saute pan too.
Another great pot, (What's this?) I love this cookware. It looks good, survives sink or dishwasher cleaning, and it's not too heavy to handle. And it's made in America. I'm glad that I bought it.

    Farberware Classic 4-Quart Covered Saucepot

Great saucepot, I have been looking for a 4-quart covered saucepot for long time. I am very satisfied with it, and I use it everyday.
Plastic handles emit noxious fumes, (What's this?) This would be fine except that every time I use it, the handles heat up and emit the most foul chemical smell. Unless I ventilate the room like crazy, I end up feeling nauseas, with a headache. I suspect that if our gas stove had smaller rings, this might not be a problem, but I can't be sure. In the meantime, I can't use it anymore. Totally toxic.
Farberware Classic 4-Quart Covered Saucepot, (What's this?) This is an excellent size and multi-purpose saucepot. Not too large, not too small.
farberware 4 quart pot, (What's this?)
best for two, (What's this?) living just with my wife this is a great size for cooking a soup , bigos . we own set of farberware classic for about three years and we very happy with it.
Farberware Classic 4-qt pot, (What's this?) I have used Farberware Classic pots for the last 30 years - most are still the original ones I bought at that time. I had to replace this 4-qt pan because one of the side handles broke.
Pot for a Pound of..., (What's this?) Whatever you need to boil a pound of, this pot is it.I make big batches of homemade pasta sauce, and make pasta. Now, I don't have to make the sauce and move it to a bowl to use my big pot again to boil the pasta. Perfect.
Wonderful Buy !!!, (What's this?) The Farberware saucepot is easy to clean, light to hold and heats up quickly and evenly.
What are those stains?, (What's this?) Purchased this for it's very usable size (4 qts) and replacing a lost one we had. As fans of Farberware in the past, we thought stick with a winner. We received this promptly, no problem with Amazon. We then followed the "first use " instructions for cleaning. But when we used it for the first time, I was heating up saurkraut. for some reason, the interior sides and the inside lid stained a patchy gray/dark. Whether it was us, the saurkraut, or the pot, we're not sure, but the stain is there and we never had a problem like this before. We've tried scrubbing it out to no avail.
Will not buy this pot again, (What's this?) I bought 2 of these pots many many years ago. they were made in USA. this one that I just bought was made in Thailand - the pot looks a little taller, narrower and heavier than the ones I have. The quality is alright. I still love the ones that are made in USA. It is sad that these pots (farberware) are made elsewhere now.
