American Kitchen 3-Quart Stainless-Steel Saucepan with Lid

American Kitchen 3-quart Saucepan, (What's this?) I bought this because it's made in the USA and, as the other reviewer said, it's a fraction of the price of All Clad. I've only used it a few times so far but it seems to be very good quality (& it's very attractive).
I love it!, (What's this?) This pan was a great find. I'm slowing working on owning a whole set of this cookware. I would recommend this brand to anyone, nicely priced and a great value, made in the USA by our fellow country men and women.
I'm impressed., (What's this?) I'm excited. I just unpacked a new three quart sauce pan from American Kitchen. It's sleek and well made! When I was growing up my mom always used Revere Ware. When I set up my own home I bought the same thing; stainless and copper made in the US. It lasted well over thirty years, but things wear out. When I was in the mood to replace several pieces I couldn't find anything made in the U.S. Revere has been offshored by Corning Glass and seemed cheap! I finally found All Clad and bought two frying pans, but they are pricy--although worth it. However, right now I can't afford almost two-hundred dollars for a saucepan, and was delighted when I found American Kitchen (by Regal Ware) made in Kewaskum Wisconsin--USA!--for a fraction of the price of All Clad.
I haven't used it a lot, but am very happy so far. It also seems to save energy as the company recommends never turning the stove above medium heat because it heats faster than regular cookware. Made in the US--that sold me!

I wish they made fry pans that did not have a non-stick coating.

A note. I have used Bar Keepers Friend cleanser on my stainless for years because it doesn't scratch. It seems to work fine on American Kitchen restoring the luster. I wouldn't use a regular household cleanser.

UPDATE 2/22/2011

The more I use this pan the more I'm impressed. It really does cook on medium heat. Easy to clean.
I like it, It's a good pot: heavy enough, heats evenly, and made in the U.S.A., which is a nice plus. One mark against it is the lid has a seal between the steel and glass components that allows water to get in. I happened to discover this when some water dripped from this space into some hot oil. It was a bit of a nuisance. On the whole I liked it enough to later pick up the 12" saute pan too.
Another great pot, (What's this?) I love this cookware. It looks good, survives sink or dishwasher cleaning, and it's not too heavy to handle. And it's made in America. I'm glad that I bought it.
